Standish Wood is National Trust Wood in the Gloucestershire countryside, which I have visited the area many times as it is a great place for taking the dog for a good run.
I am always inspired when the bluebells are on show in mid April to early May, one such day inspired my painting 'Bluebells in Standish Wood'

On a nice summers day my partner and I decided to have a trip into the Cotswolds. With art equipment, camera (and the dog) off we went.
After a time we found this view, I think that this scene depicts a typical Cotswold view with its thatched roof Cotswold stone cottage and leafy lane.

The Cathedral situated in the near centre of Gloucester always makes a ready subject to paint, this is a view, not so common is from the back of the shops taking in some of the old cottages as well.

Living not far from the docks in Gloucester at the time we took a trip out as the evening was setting.
A lone tall ship staged the scene for this painting, as the light was fading and the accompanying dock lights made this an ideal alternate look at the docks.

As it says in the title this is a view of the main gate of the Cathedral from Collage Street, also the home of 'The Taylor of Gloucester' shop.
With the old shops in the foreground of the Cathedrals main entrance it makes a good scene..
